Phase I

Our client came to us wanting a major update across her entire first floor. The outdated bright red accents and yellow walls were ready for an up style. We suggested a more subtle, cohesive and airy design aesthetic that was homey and welcoming.  The woman of the house is a very talented artist with a fun personality and still wanted her art and personality to be reflected in her home. We love the challenge of making a house the home our clients dream of. Not only do the spaces look good, but they feel good too. We softened the overall tone of the space by covering up the yellow walls with a soft white and the built-ins and trim were painted a greige to offer a slight contrast. We brought in neutral upholstery and added pops of color on the built-in styling and accent pillows. It’s possible to have a beautiful AND comfortable home.

In case you haven’t figured it out yet, white is a favorite go-to color of ours. It’s just so fresh and clean and when done well evokes a sense of calm. This client’s home had an underutilized sunroom and we pitched the idea of adding a bed swing. What was once a former nook collecting clutter is now a go-to spot for morning coffee, reading or napping regardless of the weather. Her staircase also underwent a dramatic change! We painted the orange-brown looking banisters, painted the walls & added new, textured carpet runner. Last, but not least, everyone loves a good kitchen transformation! We had so much fun updating this kitchen and it's a true testament to the power of paint! ⁣We finished this clients downstairs in the first phase, check out Historic Vinings Colonial Phase II for their upstairs transformation.
