In this kitchen and keeping room makeover, we shifted from traditional to a warm modern transitional style. The family's central space now boasts two curved sofas and accent chairs for expanded seating, and darkening the fireplace wall added contrast and boosted built-ins' visibility. The renovated kitchen features a redesigned island with waterfall countertop, ceiling-mounted iron shelving, and a breakfast nook with modern table and upholstered bench seat.
