The Conservatory

The Conservatory is a full main-level renovation shaped by architectural problem-solving and a clearer understanding of how the home needed to function for daily life. The transformation began by removing a misplaced front-facing bathroom to create a proper foyer and establish open sightlines through the home. The kitchen and adjacent breakfast area were reworked to improve layout, flow, and connection to surrounding spaces. In the living room, a single, large furniture grouping centers the room around the fireplace, framed by custom millwork and arched forms. Adjacent to it, the conservatory introduces a separate seating area within a light-filled space defined by floor-to-ceiling windows. Custom built-ins integrate storage, display, and the client’s music and awards into the architecture, while a consistent palette of warm woods and layered neutrals creates continuity throughout.
